About the role
As a Development Officer, you will support the Development Manager and the wider Development team across all stages of renewable energy projects, from early-stage origination or acquisition through to financial close. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to solar, wind, and energy storage projects, providing a great opportunity to grow your skills within a collaborative and expanding team.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying, engaging, and managing qualified third-party consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Conduct site identification and selection research for renewable energy projects.
- Maintain project data systems to ensure documentation is accurate, organised, and up to date.
- Support stakeholder engagement, including preparing community materials and participating in engagement with landowners, First Nations groups, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Provide project administration support, including meeting minutes, internal and external reporting, document control, and procurement assistance.
- Coordinate site visits, ensuring all on-site requirements, including safety inductions, are met.
- Maintain stakeholder contact lists, consultation registers, and communication logs.
Skills and experience:
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
- Exposure to renewable energy projects (solar, wind, BESS) or similar infrastructure projects.
- Strong project management, organisational, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel domestically as required to support project development and stakeholder engagement.
