Job Summary
The Deputy Manager – Maintenance, Real Estate And Facilities is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the company's facilities maintenance and repair activities across its real estate portfolio. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal functionality, safety, and longevity of all physical assets, including building systems, infrastructure, and grounds. The Deputy Manager will lead, supervise, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, implement robust preventive and corrective maintenance programs, manage vendor relationships, and contribute significantly to operational excellence and occupant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), and emergency response for all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, vertical transportation, BMS).

Ensure all maintenance activities are performed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards, minimizing downtime and disruption.

Develop and manage maintenance schedules, work orders, and resource allocation to optimize team productivity.

Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

Manage workload distribution, conduct regular performance reviews, and identify professional development opportunities for team members.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), Facilities Management, or a related technical field. A relevant Diploma with extensive experience may be considered.

Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building management.

Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, BMS).

Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Building Management Systems (BMS).

Proven ability to lead, motivate, mentor, and manage a team of technical professionals, including scheduling, performance management, and conflict resolution.

In-depth knowledge of building systems, maintenance best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.

Strong understanding of maintenance workflows, resource optimization, and process improvement methodologies.

Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills to diagnose complex technical and operational challenges and develop effective solutions under pressure.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, and preparing comprehensive reports.
