About DT Infrastructure

DT Infrastructure is a trusted provider of engineering and construction solutions that unlock opportunities for our clients, communities and people. Specialising in Defence, transport and infrastructure, we offer a unique synergy of local expertise in complex projects and the global perspective of our multinational parent company, Gamuda Berhad. Through engineering innovation, collaborative contracting and leading sustainability practices we’re unlocking opportunities for a better tomorrow.

About the role

DT Infrastructure is seeking a Communications and Stakeholder Manager to support a major renewable energy project in the Rockhampton region.

As the preferred EPC contractor, you will lead stakeholder engagement and communications across a large-scale solar project, working closely with the Project Director and delivery teams to manage diverse stakeholders including landholders and community, as well as the client and regulatory bodies.

This role sits within a broader national communications and engagement function, contributing to best practice engagement across DT Infrastructure’s growing renewable and infrastructure portfolio.

Ideally based locally, this role will suit someone who understands regional communities, strategic communications and large-scale project dynamics. Flexible arrangements, including FIFO from a Queensland base, will be considered.

This is a key role focused on building strong stakeholder relationships, managing reputational risk and maintaining social licence, while driving strategic engagement and supporting project delivery on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement community and stakeholder management plans aligned to client and contractual requirements.
  • Lead implementation, reporting and evaluation of stakeholder engagement and communications strategies across a major renewable project.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with communities, landholders, First Nations groups and regulators.
  • Manage stakeholder issues, complaints and reputational risks, ensuring proactive resolution.
  • Provide strategic advice to project leadership on engagement, social licence and communication opportunities and risks.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, media, journalism, public relations or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience delivering stakeholder engagement and communications on major infrastructure or renewable energy projects in regional locations.
  • Strong background developing and implementing community engagement strategies within complex construction environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder issues, reputational risk and social licence in dynamic project settings.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across project teams and regional communities.
