About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Manager to lead mechanical design across major renewable energy projects in Queensland.

With a strong and growing pipeline of renewable energy projects, DT Infrastructure has been selected as the preferred EPC contractor for major solar and battery developments across Queensland.

This is a leadership role where you will take ownership of mechanical design across the full project lifecycle, managing consultants, driving integration with construction and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective outcomes aligned to program and budget.

You will play a key role in delivering technically complex, large-scale renewable infrastructure that will contribute to Australia’s energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design delivery across large-scale solar and BESS projects.
  • Manage design consultants and drive integration with construction teams.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, technical, safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive value engineering, cost optimisation and design performance outcomes.
  • Oversee programme delivery, reporting and stakeholder coordination.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 12+ years’ experience, including leadership of engineering teams.
  • Proven experience delivering solar or renewable energy projects.
  • Strong understanding of full lifecycle design management in infrastructure.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, leadership and communication skills.
