About the role
With major renewable energy projects secured in North Queensland, DT Infrastructure has been selected as the preferred EPC contractor for two large-scale solar and battery energy storage projects.
We are seeking a highly experienced Design & Engineering Director to take on a senior governance role overseeing engineering outcomes across both projects. This role is accountable for leading design planning, integration and engineering delivery from post-contract award through to commissioning, handover and into operational readiness.
Acting as the delegated authority for engineering assurance, you will oversee technical compliance, design certification, and the governance of engineering systems and processes across the full project lifecycle. You will play a critical role in managing design risk, leading technical decision-making, and ensuring alignment between client requirements, consultants, contractors and internal delivery teams.
This is a rare opportunity to lead engineering on complex, utility-scale renewable infrastructure while influencing long-term asset performance and whole-of-life outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering governance, assurance and lifecycle design integration.
- Oversee NCRs, RFIs, design changes and technical compliance outcomes.
- Review and approve technical plans, specifications and design deliverables.
- Manage interfaces across clients, consultants, OEMs and contractors.
- Support commissioning, O&M readiness and continuous improvement.
About you
- Degree qualified in Engineering or related discipline.
- 15+ years’ experience in project management on large sale infrastructure projects, including 10+ years in engineering leadership.
- Strong experience across solar and BESS design, build and commissioning.
- Proven expertise in engineering governance, systems and assurance.
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management capability.
