The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join a major infrastructure project is Sydney west. Reporting to the Comms & Stakeholder manager you will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of community and stakeholder engagement activities across the project. The role ensures effective, timely and professional communication with local communities, project stakeholders, government agencies, landowners, businesses and internal project teams to support positive project outcomes, minimise disruption, manage reputational risk and build trusted relationships.
To be considered for this position you will demonstrate commitment, active involvement and leadership regarding HSE, client, people and financial accountabilities.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in identifying and mapping key external stakeholders, including local communities, residents, local authorities, NGOs, and community leaders. Support the planning and execution of community engagement programs, public consultations, and stakeholder meetings.

Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with community members and local representatives. Act as a point of contact for community inquiries, feedback, and concerns, directing them to the appropriate personnel.

Assist in drafting and disseminating clear, consistent, and transparent communication materials (e.g., newsletters, public notices, FAQs, social media updates) to inform stakeholders about projects, operational changes, and community initiatives.

Ensure all communications adhere to brand guidelines and company messaging. Support the management of feedback and grievance mechanisms for community members. Identify potential community concerns or social risks related to company operations or projects.
