About the role

DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Supervisor (Mechanical) to join our team delivering the Smoky Creek Solar Farm near Westwood, Queensland.

Operating on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Brisbane, flying to Rockhampton before travelling to site, this role offers a 20% site uplift and full camp accommodation. Reporting to the Mechanical Superintendent, you'll supervise the day-to-day delivery of mechanical construction works, coordinating site crews and subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Queensland's largest renewable energy projects, taking ownership of mechanical installation activities while developing your leadership career with a growing national infrastructure contractor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day mechanical construction activities to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality project delivery
  • Lead site crews and subcontractors, coordinating resources, materials and equipment to meet programme milestones
  • Monitor productivity, quality and safety performance while identifying and resolving site issues
  • Assist with construction planning, scheduling, reporting and the preparation of inspection and test documentation
  • Build strong relationships with project stakeholders while maintaining effective communication across the site team
  • Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with project specifications, DTI management systems and legislative requirements

About You

  • Trade qualified with extensive experience supervising mechanical construction activities on major infrastructure or renewable energy projects
  • Proven ability to lead site teams and subcontractors while delivering projects safely and efficiently
  • Strong understanding of mechanical installation, construction methodologies and quality requirements
  • Excellent planning, communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to solve problems on site
  • Experience interpreting technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation
  • A proactive leader with a strong commitment to safety, quality and developing high-performing teams
