About the role
We are seeking an experience Rail Senior Project Manager to strategically support a portfolio of projects and drive our expanding rail project portfolio across Queensland and New South.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager – Rail East, you will lead and empower a dedicated team of project professionals to deliver projects safely, cost-effectively, and in compliance with contract technical specifications and environmental requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and implement comprehensive project execution plans to secure successful outcomes.
- Manage operational budgets, provide accurate monthly forecasting, and report on live project performance.
- Implement immediate corrective measures to address any negative financial variances.
- Lead contract management, resolve commercial disputes, and effectively manage subcontractor claims.
- Identify, log, and develop tender documentation for new rail market opportunities across QLD and NSW.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Significant, demonstrable success in a project operations management role within Track and Civil rail environments.
- Practical exposure managing Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) works is highly desirable.
- Robust history of commercial tracking, financial risk analysis, and business solution development and pre-contracts support.
- Practical compliance knowledge under the Rail Safety National Law National Regulations.
