Through engineering innovation, collaborative contracting and leading sustainability practices we’re unlocking opportunities for a better tomorrow.

About the role

DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Senior Health, Safety and Environment Advisor to join our Brisbane-based head office team supporting projects nationally.

This is a key leadership role within our HSSE team where you'll influence how safety, environment and quality are managed across the business. Working closely with the GM HSSE, you'll drive governance, assurance and continuous improvement initiatives, shape our Integrated Management System and provide expert guidance to project teams nationwide.

This is an opportunity to move beyond project-based HSE and make a genuine impact at a business-wide level while supporting some of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the ongoing development, governance and continuous improvement of DTI's Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Coordinate audits, assurance activities, corrective actions and compliance programs aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and FSC requirements.
  • Provide specialist HSEQ advice and coaching to operational leaders and project teams across Australia.
  • Analyse business-wide HSEQ performance data and reporting to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Support tenders, bids, investigations and strategic HSEQ initiatives that drive business performance and compliance.

About you

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Health, Safety, Environment or Quality.
  • 5+ years' experience in a senior HSEQ, Quality or systems-focused role within construction, infrastructure or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, FSC requirements and multi-jurisdictional legislative frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience managing management systems, audits, governance processes and compliance programs.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence leaders and drive continuous improvement outcomes.

Why work for DTI

  • Competitive pay that reflects your contribution: We reward performance and impact, with our remuneration benchmarked to market.
  • Purpose-driven careers in infrastructure: As we grow our presence in the renewable energy sector, DTI is also continuing to cement its position as a delivery partner of choice across rail, roads and Defence infrastructure projects. Our teams benefit from the variety of opportunities, applying their skills and experience across multiple sectors.
  • Fostering your development: We’ve developed a culture where continuous learning is front and centre of everything we do. Fostering the growth and development of our people is key to our success and ensuring that we are preparing the next generation of leaders is a core focus for our business.
  • Parental leave designed for the reality of family life: Our industry leading parental leave policies are centred on flexibility to support modern family life, because at DTI, little families are a part of our one big family.
  • Flexibility that works for you and for us: We acknowledge that everyone’s needs are different in striking the right work-life integration. Whether it’s hybrid working, adjusted hours, job sharing or balancing family commitments, we’ll work together to make it work.
