About the role
DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our growing Rail division.
Based in Brisbane, this role offers the opportunity to support the delivery of major rail infrastructure projects across Australia, with FIFO opportunities available depending on project requirements. Reporting to the Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer, you'll provide engineering, technical and quality leadership while coordinating construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Working closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and clients, you'll play a key role in project planning, forecasting, quality assurance, procurement and technical delivery across a diverse portfolio of upcoming rail projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to achieve project safety, quality, programme and budget objectives
- Manage construction performance, project forecasting, reporting and technical delivery throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate subcontractors, procurement activities, claims, variations and project resources to support successful delivery
- Lead quality assurance activities, including ITPs, RFIs, lot management and compliance documentation
- Identify engineering risks and opportunities while providing practical technical solutions to project teams
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia
- Minimum three years' experience as a Project Engineer within rail, construction or major infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of project planning, engineering delivery, quality systems and construction methodologies
- Experience managing subcontractors, project forecasting, procurement and technical documentation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
- A proactive engineer with a strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
