About the role

DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Digital Engineer to join our Rail Team, based in Brisbane to play a key role in driving digital engineering outcomes across major rail infrastructure projects.

Working closely with engineering, project delivery and construction teams, you will lead the implementation of digital engineering initiatives, coordinate multi-disciplinary 3D models, and support the delivery of innovative digital solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

This is an exciting opportunity for a digitally minded professional who is passionate about improving project delivery through technology, collaboration, and data-driven decision making in complex rail environments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the implementation and execution of digital engineering strategies across tender, design and construction phases of rail infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate and manage federated multi-disciplinary models, ensuring effective integration across civil, track, signalling, structural and services disciplines.
• Facilitate clash detection, model coordination and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) workshops to resolve design interfaces and project risks.
• Perform quality assurance reviews of digital models, data and project deliverables to ensure compliance with project and client requirements.
• Support digital asset information management and project handover activities, ensuring accurate and compliant project data delivery.

Experience and capabilities

• Bachelor’s degree
• Demonstrated experience in Digital Engineering, BIM, or spatial coordination roles within major civil infrastructure projects, ideally within the Australian rail sector.
• Proficiency in industry-leading digital engineering platforms such as Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Bentley OpenRail, MicroStation or similar.
• Experience managing Common Data Environments, including Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), ProjectWise, Aconex or equivalent systems.
• Strong understanding of model coordination, clash detection processes and digital engineering workflows across multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and construction teams.
• Exposure to GIS platforms, data integration tools, scripting or automation (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS, Dynamo or Python) will be highly regarded.
