Job Summary
Responsible for supervising, coordinating and ensuring the construction activities for revetment structures are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications and project quality standards. This position requires field-based leadership, basic literacy in work documentation, and effective coordination with general workers, surveyors, machine operators, and site personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise revetment activities including delivery, sorting, placement, and inspection of rocks.
- Monitor work progress against planning and coordinate manpower, plant, and materials to meet targets.
- Ensure correct sequence of work and liaise closely with the survey and QAQC teams to verify according to the method statement/construction drawings.
- Report daily work quantities, equipment usage, and manpower to the Engineers / Construction Manager.
- Ensure marine safety compliance for works near barges, vessels, and shore interface zones.
- Supervise rock placement to ensure compaction, alignment, and slope tolerances are met.
- Plan daily deployment of workers, machinery (excavators, barges, dump trucks, etc.), and tools.
- Maintain daily site diary, photos, and simple reports and submit to Engineers / Construction Manager for verification.
- Attend coordination meetings when required.
- To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.
- Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.
Qualifications
Minimum SPM / Vocational Certificate / SKM Level 2-3 or equivalent
Skills & Abilities
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in marine or coastal construction (revetment, breakwater, shoreline, or reclamation).
- Able to communicate clearly with engineers and site teams in simple English or Bahasa Melayu.
Expected Minimum Years of Experience
3-5 years of experience.
