Job Summary

The Senior Executive – Masterplanning, Architecture is responsible for supporting the strategic vision, design, and execution of large-scale masterplanning and urban design projects. This role involves assisting in conceptualizing innovative and sustainable urban solutions, developing detailed plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to the overall design excellence of built environments. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Masterplanning Manager, lead specific project components, guide junior urban planners and designers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, integrated outcomes that contribute significantly to project success and organizational objectives. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the conceptualization, schematic design, and detailed development of master plans for various project types (e.g., new towns, mixed-use developments, urban regeneration, large-scale resorts). 

  • Conduct comprehensive site analysis, including environmental conditions, cultural contexts, regulatory frameworks, and existing infrastructure, to inform design solutions. Develop land use plans, zoning analysis, density studies, and urban design schemes. 

  • Integrate sustainable development principles, green infrastructure, and smart city concepts into planning proposals. Prepare detailed planning reports, design statements, feasibility studies, and presentations that effectively communicate planning concepts and proposals. 

  • Create high-quality maps, diagrams, plans, and visual aids using GIS, CAD, and graphic design software. Support the development of 3D visualizations and renderings of urban proposals to convey design intent. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, or Urban Design from an accredited institution. 

  • Master's degree (e.g., Master of Urban Planning, Master of Urban Design, Master of Architecture) is highly preferred. 

  • Proven experience in masterplanning, urban design, or large-scale architectural projects. 

  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including CAD (e.g., AutoCAD), BIM (e.g., Revit), GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS), 3D modeling (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino), and rendering software (e.g., Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray). 

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong ability to think holistically and strategically about urban environments, identifying long-term trends and contributing to innovative, future-proof masterplan solutions. 

  • Outstanding design sensibility, creativity, and ability to translate complex data and concepts into compelling, functional, and aesthetically pleasing urban designs. 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead specific project components, guide junior staff, and foster a collaborative team environment. 

  • Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills, capable of articulating design concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences (designers, engineers, clients, senior management, public). 

Expected Minimum Years of Experience

3 Years and above in relevant working experience
