About the role

 

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Signalling Electrician.  Based from our office in Bassendean, this role plays a critical part in the installation, maintenance, testing, and fault-finding of electrical signalling systems to ensure the safe and reliable operation of rail infrastructure.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Install, maintain, test, and repair railway signalling electrical systems
  • Perform fault finding and corrective maintenance on signalling equipment
  • Read and interpret signalling schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Participate in planned and reactive maintenance activities
  • Work collaboratively with signalling, engineering, and operations teams
  • Complete job documentation and reports accurately and on time
  • Participate in on-call and/or shift rosters as required

 

About You

 

You will be a safety-focused professional with strong technical knowledge and experience in signalling or rail electrical systems.

  • Electrical Trade Qualification with WA Electrical Licence
  • Experience working as a Signalling Electrician (rail environment preferred)
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Sound understanding of electrical safety and safe working practices
  • Current Western Australian driver’s licence
  • White Card
  • Rail Industry Worker Card
  • High-risk licences (EWP, Forklift, etc.)
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification; LV Rescue certificate (as applicable).
