Through engineering innovation, collaborative contracting and leading sustainability practices we’re unlocking opportunities for a better tomorrow.

About the role

DT Infrastructure is proud to be delivering the Perth High Capacity Signalling (HCS) Project, a landmark $1.6 billion METRONET initiative that will transform the city’s rail network. This program is replacing ageing signalling with a next‑generation digital Automatic Train Control (ATC) system using Communications‑Based Train Control (CBTC) technology, enabling up to a 40% increase in network capacity and supporting more frequent, reliable services across Perth’s growing network.

Based at the HCS Alliance office in Bassendean (directly opposite the Ashfield train station), we are now seeking the following positions to support the next stage of the project:

  • Signalling Electricians
  • Communications Technicians (Rail/Signal Systems)

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, test, and repair railway signalling electrical systems
  • Perform fault finding and corrective maintenance on signalling equipment
  • Read and interpret signalling schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Participate in planned and reactive maintenance activities
  • Work collaboratively with signalling, engineering, and operations teams
  • Participate in on-call and/or shift rosters as required

About You

We’re looking for motivated, safety-focused professionals with:

  • Electrical Trade Qualification (with WA Electrical Licence) or relevant Communications/Telecommunications qualification
  • Experience in rail signalling, communications systems, or similar critical infrastructure environments
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
  • Current WA Driver’s Licence
  • White Card & Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card (or willingness to obtain)
  • High-risk licences (EWP, Forklift, etc.) highly regarded
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification or LV Rescue certificate
