About the Role

DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Rail Interface Manager to join DT Infrastructure and Alstom in delivering the $1.6B contract for Perth's High Capacity Signalling Project. The project includes the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the new Automatic Train Control System to replace the existing signalling and train control systems in Perth.

The Rail Interface Manager is primarily responsible for supporting the Health & Safety Manager in providing project-level leadership and technical assurance for rail safety, safeworking, access and possession planning across the High Capacity Signalling Deployment scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the Rail Safety Management System and HCS Project Rail Safety Management Plan.
• Oversee rail access, integrated possession calendars, track protection, and overhead isolations with PTA and Arc Infrastructure.
• Facilitate rail safety risk workshops, SWMS reviews, and ensure SFAIRP controls are documented and verified.
• Direct stage-gate and work-readiness reviews, enforcing completion of access, protection, and competency requirements.
• Conduct field audits and risk-based rail safety assurance programs covering site teams and subcontractors.
• Lead rail safety incident investigations, identify root causes, and communicate critical lessons learned.

Experience and capabilities

• Tertiary or diploma qualification in WHS, Rail Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Current Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card with relevant network competencies and medical clearings.
• 7+ years of experience in rail safety, safeworking, access planning, or rail construction leadership.
• Demonstrated experience in live, brownfield, or electrified rail environments managing possession windows.
• Strong working knowledge of Rail Safety National Law (WA), PTA/Arc Infrastructure safeworking rules, and eTAS access systems.
• Proven leadership capabilities to manage direct reports (Protection Officers) and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Current or previous PTA PO3/PPO accreditation and lead auditor/investigation training highly regarded.
