Job Summary
Ensures all precast concrete products meet required quality standards, project specifications and regulatory guidelines
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the QA/QC Department to support precast manufacturing.
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001.
- Oversees material inspections, concrete testing, and product quality checks.
- Oversee precast panel inspection at required various stages (post-pour & pre-delivery).
- To understand the repeated defects and find the root cause and solve the issue.
- Manage and ensure all quality related matters of our precast panels delivered at construction sites are in order and to be the connecting point between Gamuda IBS factory and their respective Clients.
- To ensure all employees, including sub-contractors and suppliers are complied with company’s QAQC procedures.
- Establish non-conformance controls to prevent inadvertent use of non-conformance products.
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective/preventive actions implemented.
- Ensure that internal audits are carried out to verify compliance to QA requirements, and the effectiveness of improvement actions taken.
- Identify and provide QAQC related training to staffs, and other operation staff.
- Prepare quality procedures/documentation to support the QMS processes.
- Report QAQC related issues to Management.
- Act as Management representative on matters related to QAQC.
- To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.
- Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of QAQC working experience in precast or concrete manufacturing
Skills & Abilities
- ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 knowledge
- Strong understanding of concrete technology, reinforcement detailing, and precast workflows
- Strong managerial, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Expected Minimum Years of Experience
Minimum 10 years of QAQC working experience in precast or concrete manufacturing
