Job Summary

The Manager – Project, Project/Program Management is responsible for leading the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of complex projects or components within a larger program. This position supports the Project/Program Manager in driving project objectives, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The Manager will lead project teams, manage stakeholder expectations, mitigate risks, and contribute significantly to the overall strategic success and operational excellence of the organization's project portfolio. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, detailed work breakdown structures, schedules, resource allocation, and budget forecasts. Oversee and manage the day-to-day execution of project activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to plan. 

  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, assigning tasks, and ensuring clear communication of objectives and deliverables. Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality standards and technical specifications. 

  • Track project progress against milestones, key performance indicators (KPIs), and budget, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions. Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and resolution plans. 

  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent is highly preferred. 

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Scrum). 

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Primavera P6) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

Skills & Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of project lifecycle phases, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closing processes. 

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, delegate tasks, and manage cross-functional project teams effectively. 

  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills to identify, analyze, and resolve complex project issues and make sound decisions under pressure. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical).
