Job Summary

Oversee daily production operation in rebar cut & bend production.  Develops and improves rebar cut & bend manufacturing processes.

Responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and safety within the production environment. This role involves analyzing production data, troubleshooting issues, implementing process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and achieve production targets. The Engineer will apply engineering principles to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain high standards of quality and compliance in all manufacturing operations. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan rebar production according to Rebar shop drawings & Bar-Cut List / Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) taking into consideration of all projects and standard requirements.
  • Able to review Bar-Cut List / BBS and rectify issues.
  • Ensure precise production and efficient coordination in Rebar production.
  • Minimize rebar wastage.
  • Control inventory and rebar usage.
  • Oversee daily activities for the cut & bend of rebar & steel.
  • Monitor day-to-day operations and trigger corrective actions.
  • Responsible for production output, product quality and on time delivery. 
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilizes assets to produce optimal result.
  • Make proper production record and highlight potential issues and risks in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment. 

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production methodologies. 

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement principles. 

Skills & Abilities

  • Able to create accountability and lead by example
  • Able to communicate proficiently
  • Able to read structural shop drawings including Rebar Schedule.
  • Able to work in shifts

Expected Minimum Years of Experience

2 Years and above in relevant working experience
