Job Description: 

Job Summary

  • Assist in management of tender estimates.
  • Assist in preparation of preliminary project budget & assisting site management in cost control and budgeting.                                                                                                                 
  • Assist in the procurement of Sub-contractors and suppliers for site management.
  • Provide assistance to ensure ISO compliance for the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Do pre-selection of sub-contractors and suppliers; prepare enquiries for material, labour and plant quotations.
  • Review of unit rates and cost estimates.
  • Liaison with clients and external consultants.
  • Interdepartmental co-ordination activities.
  • Provide in-house training to QS/Senior QS.
  • Provide assistance to Business Development Unit in the preparation, compilation and
  • submission of business proposals.
  • Co-ordination of meetings, drafting minutes of meeting, preparation of site visit reports.
  • To ensure all filing and documentations are in compliance with the Department operation and ISO procedure.                                                                
  • To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.
  • Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveyor/ Civil Engineering

Skills & Abilities

  • General computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and Construction Software

 

Expected Minimum Years of Experience

  • 8 years and above related work experience
