Job Description: 

Gamuda Australia is seeking an experienced BIM Engineer to join the project team delivering the Parramatta Integrated Station Development (ISD) in Sydney.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a major multidisciplinary project incorporating significant building, services, infrastructure and station interfaces.

Working closely with the BIM, Digital Engineering, Design, Engineering and Construction teams, you will play an important role in ensuring BIM and digital engineering processes are effectively implemented and support the successful delivery of the project.

About the Role

As a BIM Engineer, you will support the implementation and coordination of BIM and digital engineering processes across the project. You will work with designers, consultants, engineers, subcontractors and construction teams to develop, coordinate and maintain accurate digital models and project information.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the implementation of BIM and digital engineering processes across the Parramatta ISD project.
  • Develop, coordinate and maintain BIM models across multiple disciplines.
  • Coordinate architectural, structural, civil, MEP and specialist services models.
  • Undertake model reviews, clash detection and design coordination.
  • Identify and assist in resolving design, coordination and constructability issues.
  • Work closely with Design Managers, Engineers, Services teams and Construction Managers.
  • Assist with BIM Execution Plans, project BIM standards and digital engineering requirements.
  • Manage BIM deliverables and model information in accordance with project requirements.
  • Support model federation and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Assist with model audits, quality assurance and information validation.
  • Ensure BIM models and project information comply with relevant project standards and requirements.
  • Support consultants, designers and subcontractors with BIM requirements and coordination.
  • Assist with the management of Common Data Environments (CDEs) and digital collaboration platforms.
  • Support the integration of BIM with construction planning, procurement, fabrication and installation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery through digital engineering, technology and automation.
  • Provide technical BIM and digital engineering support to project teams.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of BIM workflows and processes.

About You

We are looking for a BIM professional with experience working on large-scale building, infrastructure or multidisciplinary construction projects.

You will ideally have:

  • A degree, diploma or relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, Building Services, Digital Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in a BIM, Digital Engineering or design coordination role within a construction or engineering environment.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary BIM models.
  • Strong understanding of BIM methodologies, model coordination and information management.
  • Experience coordinating architectural, structural, civil and MEP models.
  • Experience with clash detection, model reviews and design coordination.
  • Understanding of construction processes and design/constructability interfaces.
  • Experience working with BIM Execution Plans, project BIM standards and digital engineering requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Common Data Environments and digital collaboration platforms.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with designers, engineers, consultants and construction teams.
  • Experience with BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, AutoCAD or similar platforms would be highly regarded.
