Job Summary
Coordinate activities and responsible for the planning, implementation, sustenance, and continual improvement of monthly SHE Assessment to all package contractors and ensuring compliance with OSH Management System and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- To plan and conduct assigned SHE audit engagement successfully to all package contractors or other relevant parties.
- Identify and communicate issues raised to all parties’ concern and recommend solution relevant to the business and risk.
- Ensure audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process, circumstances, and risk.
- Develop audit checklist, audit program and testing procedures relevant to the business needs.
- Obtain and review evidences ensuring audit conclusion are well documented and without any discrepancies.
- Ensure at all-time adhere to the auditing terms & condition and relevant guideline / standards.
- To issue nonconformance report or Stop Work Order for any identified nonconformance at project site based on the seriousness of the risk.
- To liaise with local authority, client, independent consultant, and package contractors to resolve any SHE related matter if required.
- To provide guidance and consultation internally within the project organization on SHE requirements and implementation.
- Manage the production of timely Monthly Safety and Health Performance Report.
- Continually assess and evaluate the performance of package contractors.
- Conduct trend analysis on monthly basis, recommend action for improvement and submit report for the package under his/her coverage/assessment.
- Conduct / attend joint safety and health inspection with local authorities, clients, senior management, and package contractor.
- Interface and communicate with other departments on the S&H requirements
Qualifications
- Possess at least Bachelor Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering, SHE or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience relevant to the works preferably in construction
- Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 45001 or ISO 14001.
- Registered Safety & Health Officer or NEBOSH certified is an added advantage.
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent knowledge of local SHE legislation requirements and SHE Management System requirements.
- Good SHE technical knowledge.
- Ability to observe and understand business processes, identify underlying causes and good auditing skill.
Expected Minimum Years of Experience
5 years and above.
