Job Summary

To complement Manager, supervise younger engineers and drive forward the coordination, management, review and implementation of geotechnical & reclamation-related work activities - particularly for detailed design and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Geotechnical desk study, geology review, broad-based geological assessment, categorisation & geotechnical risk assessment

2. Planning, procurement, coordination & management of SI works, including geotechnical data management.

3. Geotechnical design & analysis of ground treatment, slope treatment & foundations.

4. Critical review of consultants' technical submissions (calculations, designs, reports, specifications, etc) and performing check analysis & calculations.

5. Identifying alternative solutions and value-engineering opportunities.

6. Coordinate and manage external parties (ie. consultants, sub-contractors, authorities, etc) and liaise effectively with other team members.

7. Preparation of research / technical notes, reports & presentation material.

8. Incorporation of digitalisation and ESG & sustainability into relevant aspects of work.

9. Supervision and development of junior members of staff.

Qualifications

Gradute in Civil Engineering

Skills & Abilities

Practical Geotechnical-related design & construction experience in Infrastructure engineering projects
Competent in Geotechnical design software packages (SlopeW, PLAXIS, etc)
Competent in Microsoft software packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and basic AutoCAD skills.
Familiar with CAD and BIM related software (eg. Civil 3D, etc)
Competent in spoken & written English and Bahasa.

Expected Minimum Years of Experience

For Assistant Manager: 6 years to 15 years
