The role of Area Manager (Site Services) is to provide successful delivery and management for our QTMP Project based in Ormeau, Gold Coast, which will include, but not be limited to, subcontractor management as well as all stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities

 

Responsible for managing the planning, coordination, execution, commissioning, and handover of all site services (in-ground & above-ground), including building work.

Managing the systems and processes to ensure all services are installed, commissioned & tested in accordance with all local regulatory requirements in addition to the DT Infrastructure management process.

Responsible for all third-party (service providers) engagement and management during the delivery of the project

Ensure team members understand organisational objectives, their part in them, and are focused on development/delivery of their own relevant plans.

Manage and lead personnel; prioritise work efficiently

Reinforce the DTI Spirit and gain support of, and ensure consistency with DTI Values

Provide coaching and leadership; and maintain effective communication channels

Develop a culture of personal accountability and create an environment that encourages and rewards successful performance

Resource and develop an effective, appropriately skilled and empowered team able to deliver the required services and demand of the Division and wider organisation

Recruit and train staff that ensure future sustainability of the business

In conjunction with HR ensure training development plans are implemented including maintenance of skills matrix and training records to meet BU compliance and functional requirements (in line with HO HR framework/ objectives)

Provide feedback to and hold regular performance review meetings with direct staff

Qualifications

 

Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification and experience

Be a member of, or eligible to be a member of Engineers Australia

Minimum of 10 Years engineering experience (preferably electrical)

Relevant and relatable experience preferably gained within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 construction company

Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of our policies, procedures, and guidelines as well as relevant legislation.

Project Management and its application within a construction organisation and understand the importance and requirement to complete projects to time, budget, and quality parameters.

Leadership skills will also be key as will a passion for customer focused outcomes, driving safety, quality, and sustainability, along with the ability to demonstrate strong communication skills, and a collaborative nature.
